Some Like It Hot
I just watched Some Like It Hot. If you ever get the chance to see it, please do! It was vastly entertaining. Let me set the scene: It's 1929 in Chicago. Two musicians witness the Valentine Massacre and need to hightail it outta town. Fortunately (or unfortunately), they get the opportunity since a band is heading to Slorida for three weeks. The drawback? It's an all-female band. Damn, but it was funny! And now I see what all the fuss about Marilyn Monroe was about. My, but she was gorgeous. And so talented! Such a beautiful voice! Poor Norma Jean; the industry chewed you up and spat you out again. That awful dress they out you in! Honey, if only your dreams hadn't been quite so big; if only you had had the chance to do something that would have made you truly happy. Beautiful, beautiful Norma Jean... We're sorry.
